We can also collect sample fractions of interest using gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) methodologies. These isolated products can then be further analyzed using – for example – FTIR or NMR or can even be subjected to toxicity or activity measurements and organoleptic or taste evaluation.
